Something I Forgot
by Cameron Cheung
This piece represents memories and other parts of yourself left in the past, like prized possessions tucked away in a dusty attic. I've always felt that, as a person gets older, the things they like, their interests, hobbies, aspirations, or even what they want to pursue in the future constantly change over time; there can be a number of reasons for these changes, be it shifts in trends, influences from other people, something you're really not proud of, traumatic events, or what-have-you. Even so, the memories of those experiences can still exist somewhere no matter how long it's been since a person has moved past it.
About the artist
Cameron Cheung
Cameron Cheung (he/him) is a 4th-year student studying Information Technology, but despite that has had a long-standing interest in art on the side. He likes making visual art, typically 2D drawings resembling those of newspaper comics or Flash cartoons from the 2000s. In his off time, he likes to watch YouTube videos and play video games, and is particularly fond of obscure media. He's only recently joined the VCP as a member of BIPOC Artist Hub, and is hoping to use it as a means of sharing some of his drawing skills.
